He’s a life-long resident of the Garfield community. Bob graduated from Peabody High School in 1987. He attended Waynesburg College (Waynesburg University), where he attained a B.A. in Public Service Administration. He played football both in high school and college. Bob’s a co-founder and director of the Garfield Youth Sports program and serves as a volunteer football coach for the Garfield Gators. Since graduating from Waynesburg College in 1991, his employment experience has been working in the Human Services field in many capacities.

Garth Taylor – Director Programs

Garth is a 33 year East End resident. He graduated from Peabody High School and Waynesburg College. Garth has been with Garfield Youth Sports since its inception and was a part of the development process. He has two sons that have participated in the football program and feels they have benefitted socially, culturally, and educationally, from their participation. Garth has over twenty years of experience in the social service field and has knowledge of resources that extend throughout Allegheny County. Garth considers this program to be his passion and his life’s work and is grateful to be a part of the B.A.S.E. staff.

Wendy Guy

Wendy has a B.A. in Economics and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. She also has a Certificate in Accounting from the Keller Graduate School of Business. She spent 18 years working for Mellon Bank, N.A. and Dreyfus Investment Services Corporation. The past 16 years have been spent working with several area non-profit organizations in accounting and development functions. Presently, Wendy serves as the fiscal and development manager for Brothers and Sisters Emerging.
